Jordi Sierra was born in Barcelona in 1947. One could say he spent half his life writing, since he is a writer of over a hundred books. When he was 12 he wrote his first novel - which was 500 pages. At 20 years old he began working in radio. Later he founded and instructed several different music magazines, and is the writer of a few different books about Rock music.
He is also a known children's literature author, and also writes for teenagers. He has received several awards for his works.
Évelyne Brisou-Pellen spent her childhood in Morocco. Later, she returned to France and now lives with her family in Rennes. She studied literature at university and taught French in high school.
But the birth of her sons and a passion of writing led her in a different direction, and she is now an author of novels for young adults.
Anne Karali, known as Gudule, was born in Brussels in 1945. After taking an art-education, she worked as a journalist in France and the Middle East.
In the later years, she has mostly written books for young adults: Easy and funny stories about such serious subjects as aids, homelessness and racism. Her work, has been praised by readers and critics alike, and she has won several awards.
Marcel Pagnol (28 February 1895 - 18 April 1974) was a French novelist, playwright, and filmmaker. In 1946, he became the first filmmaker elected to the Académie française.
Pagnol was born on 28 February 1895 in Aubagne, Bouches-du-Rhône département, in southern France near Marseille, the eldest son of school teacher Joseph Pagnol and seamstress Augustine Lansot. Marcel Pagnol grew up in Marseille with his younger brothers Paul, René, and younger sister Germaine.
In 1945, Pagnol re-married, to actress Jacqueline Bouvier.
